There are several park days around town during the month.

Mt Crest in the NW  near Lone Mt. and Durango          every other Wednesday

Winterwood Park  (Sahara and Winterwood)                every other Thursdays 10:00am

Mt View park Lake Mead and Christy                              Thurs

Desert Bloom                                                                         Fridays 9:00am          

Neonopolis  (crown theatres) is showing Free movies Thursdays 10am  through 8/5

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas  7/29
Scooby Doo 2    8/5

New to Home schooling?

Chancellor Gardens is having a food drive to benefit a local church. Anyone bringing a donation will get an ice cream treat.   It is from August 5th through the 12th.

If you want to go to the park and meet other HSers write a quick note to the loop homeschoolmeltingpot@yahoogroups.com   to see if anyone else is planning to go, so that you don’t wind up at the park alone.

POOL PARTY

Vickie Stilz  will be  hosting two different pool parties this month.  One will be for the teens, the other for the 9-13 year olds.  Look for more info on the loop. Or call her for details.
