For those HSers who join lists on yahoo,  there is a new list .  SoNevHSHotline@yahoogroups.com    This is strictly for posting activities that are planned for HSers.  It is not a support group.  If you would like to plan an activity all you have to do is post it, and share your idea and invitation for all to join in.

Miniatures Club Meeting for October

The Miniatures Club will meet on Friday,
October 22nd from 1-3:00 PM at Dansey's Hobbies.

The store is located at 741 N. Nellis, at the intersection of Nellis and
Harris. The project this month is a bed with a woven "wicker" headboard.  Participation is open to children 8 and up. Cost is $1 per person to the  club supply fund. I provide all special materials needed. A basic "toolkit" is recommended. It can be a simple shoe box and should contain: a bottle of white glue, a ruler, toothpicks, emery board or sandpaper, small sharp scissors, and a camel hair paint brush or two.

R.S.V.P.'s are required. Please contact me at paulandkim2@cox.net or
434-5068 to R.S.V.P. or if I can answer any questions for you. Mini regards, Kim Gilman

KIDS YOGA

Please join us for the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras 2004-2005 concert season opener this Thursday, October 7th at 6:00 PM. All four student orchestras will perform at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park. The parking entrance for the plaza is just south of Washington on Twin Lakes Drive, which is between Valley View and Rancho. Tickets are available at the door and are extremely reasonable - $6 for adults and $3 for students, seniors, and disabled. Bring a picnic, enjoy the stars, and hear some wonderful music. You will also be  supporting an organization that allows homeschoolers, who would otherwise not have a group music experience, to participate in this quality orchestra program. Also, mark your calendars for an exciting Christmas concert on December 13 at Artemus Ham Hall. If you would like more information about this organization, please see their website at WWW.lvyo.com, or give me a call at 647-1230. Thanks, Michele.
